Over the past twenty years Giramondo has established a reputation as one of Australia’s most prestigious and adventurous independent publishers. Giramondo is known for the quality and design of its books across fiction, non-fiction and poetry – for championing innovative forms of writing, supporting new voices, and publishing some of the best literary writing from Australia and around the world.

Readers can now subscribe annually to receive a selection of our new release titles at a reduced price. As a subscriber you will be invited to launches and special events, and gain privileged access to our publishing initiatives, which will include chapbooks, interviews with writers, and the revival of HEAT magazine.

Subscribers will receive first editions of our new poetry or prose titles, or a combination of both, as soon as we receive them from the printer. Subscriptions are at a discount of 20% on retail price, and subscribers also receive a discount of 10% on all our backlist titles. Postage is included within Australia, and subscriptions can be bought for your own use or as a gift.

In 2021 subscribers will receive a selection of our new releases, which include fiction and non-fiction by Fiona McGregor, Pip Adam, Anwen Crawford, Vanessa Berry and Evelyn Juers, and poetry collections by Kristen Lang, Mark Anthony Cayanan, Song Lin and Toby Fitch.

Gift Subscriptions

Subscriptions can be purchased as gifts. You will be prompted to enter the recipient’s email address at the checkout. This creates an account which allows the recipient to receive updates about their subscription and access their 10% discount on purchases of books. This cannot be the same email address used to place the order. The recipient will be sent a welcome email introducing them to their subscription and asking them to confirm their postal address.

Subscriptions can also be purchased as gifts for recipients who do not use email. Enter the recipient’s postal address at checkout and indicate in the ‘Order notes’ section that the subscription is a gift.
